Die Cuttin' Divas Anything Goes Challenge

Aloha crafters and happy Tuesday! I just got back from a vacation to Maui and it was so beautiful.  The weather was hot and humid with little or no breeze but we had a great time swimming and snorkeling at the gorgeous beaches.  We also ate lots of great food while we were there and just relaxed.

OK, on to this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge, which is Anything Goes!  These challenges are always so much fun.  We recently had a memorial at work for a co-worker who passed away very suddenly.  I was in charge of organizing the food and table rentals, etc.  I enlisted the help of three of my co-workers for this task and those girls were a huge help to me.  They all went above and beyond what was asked of them.  I decided to make them each a little thank you gift from me to let them know how much I appreciate all their help.  I could not have done it without them and they helped make the memorial so special. I made them some chocolate holders and got each of them a Starbucks gift card.  They were surprised and really loved the gifts.
I used my scraps to make these gifts.
Ribbon: Stampin' Up
Gift card holder die: My Creative Time (my all time favorite)
Coffee cup die: Stampin' Up
Sentiments: Close to My Heat, My Creative Time
and Stampin' Up
Ink: Close to My Heart

Die Cuttin' Divas Fabulous Fall Challenge

Hello and happy Tuesday!  I am on vacation this week but I made sure to do my post before I left.  I hope all of you are having a good week.

This week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge is Fabulous Fall.  Fall is always my favorite time of the year.  I loved it when I lived on the East Coast because seeing the leaves change colors every year was so pretty.  Now, living in San Diego, it can actually be pretty warm.  We get Santa Ana winds and the temperatures go up while the humidity goes down.  It's a bit scary because this is the time of year we get wildfires, which are awful.  So far this year we have been very lucky.

On to my project for this challenge:

Truck Die: Spellbinders
Stamp: Cardz TV Stamps
Paper: Echo Park
Silver Metallic Paper: DCWV

Die Cuttin' Divas Tag Challenge

Hello and happy Tuesday!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  It is still warm here but not nearly as bad as it was a couple weeks ago!

So it's been a really fun time to live in my neck of the woods.  About a half mile from my house they opened a new Michaels last week.  Then on Monday this week, a Hobby Lobby opened across the street from Michaels!  I'm so excited but my husband is getting nervous. He told me it's not a good thing to have both stores within walking distance. I tried to tell him how much easier it will be for him to shop for me now.  I'm not sure he was buying my theory but I am beyond excited.  Before this new Hobby Lobby, I used to have to drive 30-40 minutes to get to one. I did stop by the new Michaels (it was so new and beautiful.  Even the carts were clean!).  I did not go on opening day to Hobby Lobby because I had to work and I figured it would be mobbed on Monday.  I'll stop by after work one night soon.

Ok, on to this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge, which is to make a tag.  Here's the one I made:

Tag and candle dies: My Creative Time
Paper: from my scraps
Sentiment: My Creative Time
Ink: Stampin' Up
Stars: Recollections
Twine: Recollections

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Hello and happy Tuesday. I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.  It was so hot and humid in San Diego for the past 5 days!  So gross when you don't have air conditioning.  It was still nice to have 3 days off but I am looking forward to heading back to work today so I can be in air conditioning all day.

This is a new month (what happened to August???) and that means it's time for our sketch challenge based on this sketch:

Since I hardly ever make masculine cards, I decided to make a masculine birthday card.  This way the next time I need a guy card, I'll already have one instead of having to make one quickly.
Paper: The Paper Studio
Fish Die: A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge
Tag Die: My Creative Time
Circles: Cricut Shapes
Sequins: Close to My Heart
Sentiment: My Creative Time
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Die Cuttin' Divas Thinking of You Challenge

Hello and welcome to this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge, which is Thinking of You.  Who doesn't love to get a card from a friend that says Thinking of You? It's nice to send these types of cards to friends who are going through a hard time.

I decided to make a card with a flower on it.  My favorite flowers are Gerbera Daisies and I just love this die that looks like them.  I've had it for years and always bring it out when I need a card with a flower.

Oval, flower and tag die: My Creative Time
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug
Paper: American Crafts
Sentiment: Scrapbook.com
Ink: Close to My Heart
Sequins: Close to My Heart

Die Cuttin' Divas Unicorn Challenge

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was quiet but good.  I was trying to get my supplies together for a three day crop next weekend.  I can't wait to see my friends and spend some time crafting.

This week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge is to make a project using a Unicorn.  I saw this adorable image on the Ruffles and Rain Boots website and it was free!  I thought it would make a cute card:
Unicorn Die: Ruffles and Rain Boots
Paper: Recollections
Sentiment: I wrote this using the Be Happy
font on my Cricut Explore
Sequins: Michaels
I used Wink of Stella but it's kind of hard to see
