Cut It Up Challenge 215 - Tic-TAG-Toe-- Make a TAG using the Tic Tac Toe Game Board!

Hello crafters! I hope all of you are doing well and surviving this craziness in our world right now. Sadly, our numbers have skyrocketed in San Diego again so we are on another stay at home order. I will stay home and wear my mask if I have to go out. If everyone does the same, I know our numbers will drop.

Ok, on to a much more fun topic. This week we are having a Tic-TAG-Toe challenge - Make a tag using this game board:

For my tag, I used one of the diagonal lines - Gold, Digi or Stamp, and Santa.  Our sponsor, DRS Designs, gave each of us on the design team a stamp (or digi stamp) of our choice to use for our tags. Here is the tag I made:

Digi Santa Stamp: DRS Designs
Banner die: Stampin' Up!
Snowflake die: My Creative Time
Joy die: Diamond Press
Paper: Stampin' Up!

Makers to color: Spectrum Tri Blend Markers

I used Diamond Stickles on Santa's hat

Prize: $20.00 voucher

Cut It Up Challenge 214 - Christmas

Hello crafty friends! I hope all of you had a very Happy Thanksgiving. We had a very small family gathering and it was perfect. As usual, we all ate too much but there are plenty of leftovers so we will be eating turkey for the next few days!

Our Cut it Up challenge this time is to make a project for Christmas. I can't even believe Christmas is less than a month away! The good thing is that I will be doing most of my shopping online so I don't have to leave the house and can shop any time of the day/night.

I made this card for my Christmas project:

Poinsettia Die: Diamond Press

Patterned Paper: Simple Stories

Solid Paper: Stampin' Up

Stamp: Hero Arts
Embossing Folder: Cricut Cuttlebug Snow Flurry
I used Wink of Stella and Diamond Stickles on the Poinsettia

Ink: Stampin' Up

Our fantastic sponsors for this challenge are:

Prize: $50 gift voucher

Prize: $20 gift code

Cut It Up Challenge #213 - Be Strong/Be Brave/Be Bold

Hello crafters! I hope you are all having a great week.  It's been chilly here (in the 60s) and it finally feels like fall! I always miss the east coast in the fall but I'm just happy we are not having 95 degree weather any more.  We actually had wind and rain all last weekend.  It is always good when we get some rain, it helps to lower the fire danger.

This week our Cut It Up challenge is Be Strong/Be Brave/Be Bold. I love this challenge and here is the card I made:

Paper: My Mind's Eye "Adorbs"

Heart die: Pink Journey Cricut Cartridge

Merida Princess die: Ideas with Love

Sequins: Close to My Heart

Our awesome sponsor this week is:

Prize: $20 prize code

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.  We will be back on November 27th with our next challenge.

Cut It Up Challenge #212- Happy Thanksgiving - Make a Thanksgiving themed box or bag

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all having a good week.  I have been so swamped with work lately and I am looking forward to things slowing down a bit very soon.  It has been chilly here at night and it finally started feeling like Fall until the weather report today said to prepare for 90 degree weather on Sunday and Monday. I sure am ready for summer temps to be over.

This week at Cut It Up our challenge is to make a Thanksgiving themed box or bag.  Our sponsor, Digital Delights by Louby Lou, gave us the cute pumpkin with sunflower die cut file to use for this challenge. Here is the project I made:

Bag die: Lori Whitlock svg file
cut on my Cricut Maker
Pumpkin die: Digital Delights by Louby Lou
Pattern paper: DCWV

Spectrum Noir Tri Blend markers used to color the pumpkin die

Our sponsor for this challenge was Digital Delights by Louby Loo, which is now out of business, but the prize is two adorable digis.

Cut It Up Challenge 211 - Sketch Challenge

Hello fellow crafters! I hope you are all doing well.  I had this week off and I've been to the beach twice already and we are going to stay at a hotel near the beach this weekend for our anniversary (which is on Monday). The weather has been in the 90s so spending it at the beach has been so fantastic! I have always loved going to the beach in October in San Diego because the weather is still nice but there are not as many crowds.  Since we are all supposed to be staying away from crowds, it was just perfect.

Our Cut It Up challenge this week is a sketch challenge.  We had a choice of these two sketches:

I used the top sketch and made this Halloween card:

Witch and Bat dies: Echo Park
Banner dies: My Creative Time
Circle die: Cut on my Cricut
Paper: Echo Park

Our awesome sponsor this week is our own leader, Evelyn!  She has very generously donated this adorable stamp set from Pink & Main for the winner of this challenge. Isn't it adorable??

Cut It Up Challenge #210 - World Card Making Day (October 3)

Hello fellow crafters! I hope you are all well. I know technically it is Fall but it's hard to think about Fall when it is 100+ degrees here.  Too hot for me! I'll be happy next week when they tell us it will drop down to the mid to low 80s.

We are celebrating World Card Making Day for our challenge this week.  Our awesome sponsor, The Cutting Cafe, sent us some images/sentiments that we could use on our projects this week. I made this card for the challenge:

Pumpkin: The Cutting Cafe
Sign: Cricut Outdoor Man cartridge

Grass: Cricut Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge

Sentiment on sign: The Cutting Cafe

Cloud stencil: Lawn Fawn

Markers for coloring: Spectrum Tri Blend markers
Polka Dot background paper: Authentique
Solid Paper: Recollections

Cut It Up Challenge #209 - Happy Fall Y'All with 3+ Layers

Hello crafters! It sure is hot and dry here in San Diego. That's a dangerous combination for the fires we are having in CA. The destruction is so devastating. Cooler temps are coming so hopefully that will help the firefighters get things under control. They truly are heroes. I hope all of you are staying safe no matter what part of the country or world you live in.

O.k., our Cut It Up Challenge this week is to make a fall project with 3+ layers.  Fall is my favorite time of the year, I even got married in October (I was living in NJ at the time and the leaves were so pretty in our pictures). Here is the card I made for our challenge:

Paper: Simple Stories and DCWV
Sentiment: Cardz TV Stamps
Pumpkin Die: Hot Off The Press
Sequins: Michaels
Banner punch: Stampin' Up
Burlap: Michaels
Markers for coloring: Spectrum Noir

Cut It Up Challenge #208- The Wheels on the Bus (use wheels on your project)

Hello crafters! I don't know where the past couple of weeks have gone but they sure have flown by. My husband and I tried to go to the beach last weekend but by the time we got there the parking lot was full. We decided to go over to the bay side and there was plenty of parking. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed just relaxing and getting some sun. It felt good to be outside and out of the house. We will certainly be going back again soon. I hope all of you are doing well during this very difficult time.

This week our Cut It Up challenge is The Wheels on the Bus (use wheels on your project).  A friend of mine got me the cutest stamp set for my birthday recently so I decided to use that set for our challenge:

Car, palm tree and cooler dies: My Favorite Things
Clouds, ocean and sun dies: My Creative Time
Paper: Recollections and Carta Bella
Stamp: My Favorite Things
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Cut It Up challenge #207 Old School – (Use an old product/embellishment you’ve had for ages on your project)

Hello and happy Friday to all of you.  Boy, it sure has been hot in San Diego this past week.  Temps were 100+ in many places and very humid. Makes me feel like I am back living on the East Coast! I think I'll be taking another trip to the beach where it is a little cooler very soon.

Our new challenge at Cut It Up is Old School (use an old product/embellishment you've had for ages on your project). If you are like me, you have plenty of old products in your craft supplies so this will be a very fun challenge.  Here is the card I made for this challenge (my old school items are the buttons and the flower punch that I found in my drawer when I was looking for the buttons!):

Circle: Cricut Design Space
Tag die: My Creative Time
Flower punch: Stampin' Up (old school item)
Buttons: Joann's (old school item)
Paper:  Simple Stories and Recollections
Stamp: Hero Arts

Cut It Up Challenge #206 - Shaped Card

Hello Crafters! I hope you are all having a safe summer. My husband and I actually went to the beach last Monday. It was good to see people wearing masks until they got on the beach and sitting at least 6 feet from others. Even though it was cloudy at the beach, it was still a great day. There is something so relaxing about being near the ocean and it was great to get out since I've been working from home for so long.

On to this week's Cut It Up challenge, which is to make a shaped card (not square or rectangle).  A friend of mine just moved to a new place last week so I decided to make a flower pot card to send to her.

Flower Pot Die Card: My Scrap Chick
Paper: Recollections
Ink: Close to My Heart
Tag punch: Stampin' Up
I used Wink of Stella on the flower centers and leaves
Rhinestones: Queen & Co.

Cut It Up Challenge #204 - Create Your Own Background Paper

Hello crafters! I hope you are all staying safe. Sadly, the covid numbers in San Diego are increasing again so many restaurants and bars that had reopened were told they had to close again. I feel so bad for the owners and especially the small business owners. They are having a hard time staying open.

On to today's Cut It Up challenge -- Create Your Own Background Paper.  This is a really fun challenge and you can make any background that you like. A friend of mine is obsessed with anything with flip flops on it so I made this card for her birthday, which is in August.
Solid paper: Recollections
Sunray background paper: My Mind's Eye "The Sweetest Thing"-Tangerine
Sunray Die: My Creative Time
Sentiment and Flip Flop Die: Simon Says Stamp

Cut It Up Challenge #203 - Celebrate Summer (use a summer color palette: turquoise, yellow, hot pink, coral)

Happy Friday crafty friends.  I hope all of you are well and staying healthy. I'm really tired of being at home but just doing my part to keep all of us safe. It sure is a crazy time right now.

This week, our Cut It Up challenge is: Celebrate Summer (use a summer color palette: turquoise, yellow, hot pink, coral).  We were given some files from our amazing sponsor, The Cutting Cafe, to use for this challenge.  I decided to make one of the gable boxes for my project:
 Gable Box: The Cutting Cafe
Paper: Craft Smith "Boho Tropical"
Yellow Paper: Recollections

I have several friends who have birthdays this summer so I'm hoping to give this to one of them with their gift inside. I think they will love it.
