Cut It Up Challenge #319 More Than One Die Cut

Hello Crafters and happy Friday. Only a few more weeks until Christmas and I still have so much to get done. Unfortunately, this past week I was sick with the flu. It was not fun and I was finally able to get an antibiotic because my illness progressed to a full blown sinus infection. I'm hoping to feel better in the next couple of days. This means I'm a week behind for everything. Thank goodness Amazon delivers quickly!

Our Cut It Up challenge this week is to use more than one die cut on your project. I needed a bunch of tags for some gifts for my co-workers so I decided to make these:

Tree stamp and die cut: LDRS
Moose stamp and die cut: LDRS
Sentiment: Pink and Main foil sheet. I foiled with my Mini Minc machine
Foil sheet: Pink and Main
Ribbon: Michaels

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use more than one die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #316 - Grateful/Thankful

Hello Crafters and happy Friday. I hope you all had a good Halloween. We had a Halloween party at work and there was a costume contest. Some people are so creative and the judges will have a hard time when they make their decision of who will win first, second and third place.

This week's Cut It Up challenge is Grateful/Thankful. I took some virtual classes a couple of weeks ago and this was from the class given by Hero Arts. I just love the fall colors.

Cut It Up Challenge 315 ~ Add Embellishments

Hello Crafters and happy Friday! I hope all of you are safe from all the horrible weather lately. My heart and prayers go out to anyone who has experienced the effects of the recent hurricanes. I have friends and family in Florida and was so relieved to hear they are all safe. Some were without power but at least they were safe.

Our Cut It Up challenge this week is to make a project and add embellishments. I made this card in a class I recently took and decided to use it for my project after adding some gem embellishments:

Paper: My Favorite Things
Flower Dies: My Favorite Things
Stamp: My Favorite Things
Stencil: My Favorite Things
Gems: PinkFresh Studio

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #314 - Inspired by a Song

Happy Friday crafters! I hope all of you are having a good week! I attended a virtual card making retreat for four days last weekend and it was so much fun. Good thing I took Monday off because I was really tired by then.

This week's Cut It Up challenge is Inspired by a Song. Here is the card I made. I made this one for a friend who loves red wine so I based my card on the song Red, Red Wine by UB40. It seemed appropriate for this card!

Paper: Crafters Companion
Stamps and Dies: Crafters Companion
Gems: Hobby Lobby

Cut It Up Challenge #313 - Colors of Fall/Autumn

Happy Friday to all of you! We have been having some fabulous cool weather in San Diego this past week. It has been a welcome change from the over 100 degree weather we had a couple of weeks ago. It also fits nicely into our Cut It Up Challenge this week, which is Colors of Fall/Autumn. Since I grew up on the east coast, Fall was always my favorite time of the year. I loved the smells, the colors and we even got married in the fall. Here is my card for this challenge:

Paper: Carta Bella
Leaf dies: Stampin' Up
Sentiment stamp and die: Taylored Expressions
Ink: Gina K Designs
Gems: PinkFresh

Cut It Up Challenge #312 - What's in Your Garden?

Hello and happy Friday to all of you. It is so hot right now in southern CA and we don't have any relief in sight for the next five days. Since I've been slowly purging my craft room, this will force me to stay in the air conditioning and get some more stuff cleaned out this weekend.

Our Cut It Up challenge this week is What's in Your Garden. About two weeks ago I attended a two day virtual event hosted by Pink Fresh Studios. Their guest designer company this time was Spellbinders and this is the card we made. I love how this card came out but there were so many small die cuts that went into making this card!

3D Embossing Folder: Spellbinders
All dies and stamps: Spellbinders

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #311 - Anything Goes

Hello Crafters and happy Friday. I am taking some virtual classes from Pinkfresh this weekend and can't wait. I have learned to embrace the virtual classes over the past few years. I love that I don't have to pack up all my stuff and take it someplace else, it's all at my fingertips in my craft room. I do miss cropping with friends too and have tried to do a few of the in person crops as well.

This week's Cut It Up challenge is Anything Goes. These challenges are always a big hit because as long as you use a die cut on your project, you can make anything you want. I recently participated in a Christmas in July virtual event from SCT. All the cards we made were holiday cards but since I had a friend that was moving, I decided to make a different version of the card for her new home. I love that the door die opens up.

Paper: Stampin' Up
Door dies: Scrapbook and Cards Today
Topiary dies:
Scrapbook and Cards Today
Gem: Pinkfresh
Sentiment:
Scrapbook and Cards Today
Inside sentiment: My Creative Time
Ink: Lawn Fawn

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #310 - Thinking of You

Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you are all having a good summer and are not experiencing the flooding that is happening in the South right now.

I have been spending time crafting and also watching the Olympic games. So many talented athletes from all different countries and I love seeing them compete.

Our Cut It Up challenge this week is Thinking of You. I have a friend who is going through chemo right now for breast cancer and she loves hummingbirds so I thought this card would be perfect to send to her.

Plain paper: Recollections
Sentiment die: Amazon
Dots: Echo Park

Cut It Up Challenge #308 - Christmas in July

Hello Crafters and happy Friday! I hope you are all safe. There has been some crazy weather across the country. My husband's family lives in a suburb of Houston and they have not had power for days in their area. Luckily, they had invested in a generator so at least they can keep the lights on and the refrigerator running.

On to our Cut it Up challenge, which is Christmas in July. I've been watching some Hallmark Christmas movies lately so I was feeling the Christmas spirit. I saw a card like this one on Pinterest on Karin Akesdotter's page and decided to use it as the inspiration for my card:

Paper: Lawn Fawn
Deer, Penguin, Snowball and Tree dies: Lawn Fawn
Circle stitched die: My Creative Time
Sentiment and Ink: Lawn Fawn
Snowflakes: Simon Says Stamp
Spectrum Noir Tri Blend markers for coloring

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #307 - Critters (real or fantasy)

Hello Crafters and happy Friday! Hard to believe that July starts on Monday. I am wondering where June went. I feel like I blinked and it's over. It started to get hot here in San Diego this week so I guess summer has officially arrived.

Our Cut It Up challenge for this week is to make a project with Critters (real or fantasy). I had not used this stamp set from Newton's Nook in a long time so I decided to use it for a summer critter card.

Seagull stamp/die set: Newton's Nook
Cloud stencil: Stampin Up
Wave stencil: Newton's Nook
Oval masking stencil: Pink and Main
Dots: Echo Park

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a very Happy 4th of July!
