Cut It Up Challenge #302 - Starts with a B

Hello Crafters! I hope you are all having a good week. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. We moved our offices last week and it was exhausting! On the plus side, we are now in a beautiful brand new building and it is so nice.

I'm ready to do some crafting this weekend and start really purging my craft room. It's a tall order and taking forever but I'm trying to do some of it each week so I don't get overwhelmed.

Our Cut It Up challenge this time is Starts with a B. There are so many possibilities with this one. I recently got this cute set of stamps with bumble bees in the set so I decided to use them for my card.

Cut It Up challenge #299 Colors of Spring

Happy Friday Crafters! I hope you are all having a good week. I am doing another virtual card making event today and Saturday. This one is with Taylored Expressions (one of my favorite companies). I'm excited and the best part was there was hardly any prep work needed for these classes.

Our Cut it Up challenge this week is Colors of Spring. I know I am ready for some spring weather. We are really tired of all the rain we have had this winter. I decided to make an Easter card for this challenge because Easter will be here before we know it.

Cut It Up Challenge #297 Have a Heart

Hello and happy Friday! I hope all of you are safe and well. We are having tons of rain in CA right now and there is lots of flooding, mud slides and devastation in the whole state. Thankfully, we are o.k. but there are folks who have lost everything in these storms.

This Saturday, I am attending a virtual all day card making event with SCT. I'm really looking forward to this event and making lots of new cards.

This week our Cut It Up challenge is Have a Heart. Use a heart on your projects. Since Valentine's Day is next week, I decided to make these Hershey bar holders for my co-workers. They were very easy to make. (I found the instructions on Pinterest)

Paper: Echo Park
Ribbon: Michaels
Heart Die: My Creative Time
Stamp: Close to My Heart

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #295 - A New Year (Use a new tool, technique or craft item)

Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed your holidays.

I took some time off from the design team because my sister passed away unexpectedly in November. We are all devastated and I miss her every day. It is really true about living every day to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised.

This week was the first time I was even able to go in my craft room to make a card. It actually made me feel better as this room is usually my happy place. I'm looking forward to being back for 2024.

Our Cut It Up challenge this week is A New Year (use a new tool, technique or craft item). I have a new stamp set that I bought a while ago but never used so I decided to make my card with that set:

Paper: Lawn Fawn
Stamps: Pink & Main
Circle and banner dies: My Creative Time
Snowflakes: Recollections
Markers: Spectrum Noir Tri blend markers

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge 291 - Friends and Family

Hello Crafters and happy Friday! I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is next week already. Where has this year gone?

This week's Cut It Up challenge is Friends and Family. I love spending time with friends and family. One of my best friends lives across the country from me and I'm so grateful that we have stayed close for a very long time despite the distance. I decided to make this card to send to her to let her know I'm missing her.

Paper: Scrapbook.com
Stamps: CTMH
Frame Die: Taylored Expressions
Spectrum Noir Tri-blend Markers for coloring
Sequins: Gina K Designs

Cut It Up Challenge #290 - Layer It Up

Hello Crafters and happy Friday to all of you. It's warm in San Diego again. We are having Santa Ana temps - hot (mid 80s) and dry. Even my cat has static in his hair! We are hoping for no fires this year.

Our Cut it Up challenge this week is Layer It Up. Use layers in your project along with your die cuts. I always seem to need a masculine card when I don't have any made, so for this challenge I decided to make a one:

Paper: Taylored Expressions, Carta Bella and scraps
Boots and Guitar dies: Stampin Up
Sentiment: Close to My Heart
Sequins: Close to My Heart

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #289 - Add a Sentiment

Hello crafters! I hope you are all having a great week. Yesterday was my anniversary (32 years!) so we are doing a little staycation this weekend. It will be nice to get away (but not too far away). We plan on spending time at the beach, having dinner out at a wonderful seafood restaurant and just relaxing. San Diego is so nice this time of the year. All the kids are back in school, it's still warm, and most of the tourists have gone home. The beaches are not overly crowded (that's my favorite part of October!).

This week our Cut It Up Challenge is Add a Sentiment. Since it is fall and my favorite time of the year, I decided to make this card:

Sentiment: My Creative Time
Coffee cup die: Stampin Up
Leaf dies: Taylored Expressions
Paper: Carta Bella
Pumpkins: Stampin Up
Markers for coloring: Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers
Sequins: Close to My Heart

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge 288- Favorite Color

Hello crafters! I hope you had a great week. I know it's fall, but yesterday and today it will be in the 90s here in CA again. It's like summer has returned!

Our Cut It Up challenge this time is Favorite Color. My favorite color is teal but I also like pink. I made my card to reflect both colors:

Flower stamp and die: My Creative Time
Tag die and sentiment: Taylored Expressions
Paper: Scrapbook.com
Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers for coloring
Sequins: Close to My Heart

Tomorrow is World Card Making Day. We would love to have you make a card or project and join our challenge. Be sure to use a die cut in your project.

Cut It Up Challenge #287 - Inspired by a Book or Song

Hello crafters! Happy Friday to all of you. I am excited for the weekend. I am doing a virtual card making event this weekend with Pink Fresh. This is the first time I'm doing one of their card events so I'm excited to try something new.

Our Cut It Up Challenge this week is to create a project that is Inspired by a Book or Song. I am a huge fan of the late, great Jimmy Buffet. I loved the video of Jimmy with Alan Jackson singing It's Five O'Clock Somewhere. It's such a fun song so I decided to base my card on that song.

Panel die: My Creative Time
Stamps: Pink & Main
Markers for coloring: Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend
Dots: Your Next Stamp

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #286 - Back to School

Hello Crafters! I hope you all had a happy Labor Day. Why do the short weeks always feel longer? At least to me they do. I think it's because I have to cram five days worth of work into four days. At least it's Friday and that is always a good day!

Our challenge at Cut It Up this time is Back to School. Where did the summer go?? I made my card using a kit I received from Honey Bee Stamps. This card was one of the ones we made in the class and I think it was perfect for this challenge. Teachers never get enough thanks for all they do.

Paper: Stampin Up
Stamps and Dies: Honey B Stamps
Inks and blending brushes: Taylored Expressions

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.

Cut It Up Challenge #285 - Under the Sea

Hello crafters. I hope you are all well and staying safe. I know there are lots of weather or fire related emergencies happening now. We had a hurricane last weekend and thankfully, there was minimal damage in San Diego. I've never seen a hurricane here in the 28 years I've lived in CA. We had lots of wind, rain and floods. Turns out we broke records that were set in 1977 for the amount of rain in August.

Our Cut It Up challenge this week is Under the Sea. Here is the card I made for the challenge:

Paper: Scrapbook.com
Embossing folder: Darice
Dies/stamps: My Creative Time
Spectrum Tri-blend markers for coloring
Taylored Expressions ink for blending
White Ink for splatters
Sequins: Gina K Designs

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. You can check out all the other amazing design team projects at Cut It Up.
