Cut It Up Challenge 227 - Shaped card or fun fold card

Hello crafters! I hope you are all doing well. It is hard to believe that it's June already. Things are slowly getting back to pre-Covid times. I notice more and more folks on the roads these days. My husband and I went to a Padres game about a week ago. It was so fun being back in the stadium and watching live baseball! They still had us distanced in the stadium because CA has not opened up fully yet but we really had a great time!

On to our Cut It Up Challenge. This challenge is to make a shaped card or a fun fold card.  Our awesome sponsor for this challenge is The Cutting Cafe and they gave us a couple of different files to use for this challenge. I decided to make a 60th birthday card for a friend of mine who turns 60 in August. I used the Mason Jar File and made it into a shaker card:

Mason Jar die cut card: The Cutting Cafe

Paper: Simple Stories and DCWV

Sentiment and balloon dies: The Cutting Cafe

Balloon string dies: My Creative Time
Banner tag: Amazon
I used my Fiskars crimper to make the marks on the lid

A big thank you to our awesome sponsor:
Prize: 3 sets to one winner

Cut It Up Challenge #226 - Nature - Anything related with Nature

Hello crafters! Happy Friday to all of you. I have started going into my office one day a week. We will all be going back to the office full time again in mid July so I figured I better start slow and ease my way back into the swing of things. It was really great to see some of my co-workers who I have not seen (other than on a Zoom call) in over a year! It did feel good to have a bit of my old life again.

This week for our Cut It Up Challenge we are making projects related with nature. I decided to look through some stamp sets I have not used in a while and found these trees in a Stampin' Up stamp set. Here is the card I made:

Missing You die: STAMPlorations

Leaf dies: Stampin' Up

Tree stamps: Stampin' Up Thoughtful Branches

Paper: Recollections

Twine: Stampin' Up

Embossing folder: Cuttlebug
Distressed Lines
Ink: Stampin' Up

Our Design Team members were able to pick some dies to use from our very generous sponsor:

Cut It Up Challenge #225 - Mother's Day

Hello crafters! I hope you are all doing well. This week I've been so busy at work and the week just flew by. I'm looking forward to the weekend.

Our challenge over at Cut It Up this week is to make a project for Mother's Day. My mom is no longer with us and I miss her every day. When I was making this card I thought of her because she loved to garden and she loved flowers.

Plain paper: Recollections
Pattern paper:
Pebbles "Family Ties"
Flower and Mom Dies: My Creative Time
Dots: From my stash

Cut It Up Challenge #224 - Masculine Card - (make a card for a guy in your life)

Hello crafters! I hope all of you are well. Since I received my second Covid vaccine last week, I plan to start going into the office 1-2 days a week beginning next week. It will be good to have a change of scenery and get out of the house. I think we will most likely go back full time by mid to end of June. Some days, I still cannot believe that I have been working from home for as long as I have been.

This week our Cut it Up challenge is to make a Masculine Card for the guy in your life.  I don't know about you but I never have enough masculine cards in my stash. I always find them tougher to make.

Since my husband is a fisherman, I decided to make this card for the challenge:

Stamps/Dies: Stampin' Up
Paper: Recollections and Kaiser Craft "Blue Bay"

Sentiment: My Creative Time

Ink: Close to My Heart

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize: $25 gift certificate

Cut It Up Challenge 223 - How’s the Weather (anything weather related: clouds, puddles, rainbows, umbrellas, etc.

Hello crafters! I hope you are all doing well. I get my second Covid shot next week and I cannot wait! Never thought I would be so excited about getting a shot but I am for this one. Maybe life can start getting back to normal soon.  I think I will be going back to the office by June.  I'm sure going to miss having a bit of time most days to craft in between working. Not sure my boss would understand if I brought my Cricut to work!

This week our Cut It Up challenge is to make something related to the weather (clouds, puddles, rainbows, umbrellas, etc.).  Our awesome sponsor, DRS Designs, gave each of the design team members a digi stamp to use for their projects.  I picked this cute little pig in a puddle. I thought he was so adorable. Here is the card I made:

Digi stamp: DRS Designs (cut out on my Brother Scan N Cut)
Rainbow and cloud dies: Pink & Main
Sentiment: Pink & Main

Ink for blending: Close to My Heart

Pens for coloring: Spectrum Tri Blend markers

Thank you so much to our sponsor:

6 x 6 Paper Pad Projects

Hello crafters! I hope you are all doing well.

Some of us decided to do a project challenge -- making cards/projects using an entire 6 x 6 paper pad. I used My Mind's Eye Market Street pad to make my projects.

Please check out the blogs for the other crafters who participated in this challenge. They all did an amazing job on their projects.

This challenge was a lot of fun. I highly recommend you try it if you have the opportunity to do so.

Have a great week!

Cut It Up Challenge - Spring--Use flowers and/or butterflies on your project

Hello crafters! I hope you are all doing well. I was finally able to find an appointment to get my first Covid shot this week. I went to Rite Aid not too far from my house and they were fantastic. I was never so happy to get a shot! One more shot to go in a few weeks. I know I still need to be careful but it truly will be a relief to have both shots done.

Here is the card I made for this challenge:

Watering can and flower dies: Kates ABC Cricut Cartridge
Oval and Butterfly dies: My Creative Time
Punches: Stampin' Up
Pattern Paper: Simple Stories "So Happy Together"
Plain paper: Recollections
Glitter Paper: Close to My Heart

Cut It Up Challenge #221 - Just For Kids (cards created especially for kiddos)

Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you all had a good week.  It is chilly (well, chilly for us) here in San Diego -- in the 50s.  We have been using our fire place!  I know to a lot of you that sounds crazy but that really is cold to us. I admit it, we are wimps.  I grew up in NJ so I do know what cold is but I've been living in CA for almost 26 years so 50 is my new cold.

On to our Cut It Up challenge for this week, which is Just for Kids (create a card especially for kiddos).  Our awesome sponsor this week is Hetty Clare from Etsy and she gave our design team some files to use for our cards.  Here's the card I made:

Digital Dog File: Hetty Clare (Etsy)

Scallop Circle Die: WYSE

Paper: DCWV

Stamp: My Creative Time

Ink: Stampin' Up

Pens: Spectrum Tri-Color Pens

Dots: Simple Stories

Our awesome sponsor this week is:

Prize: 2 digis for winner
