Cut It Up Challenge #242 - Birthday Card

Hello Crafters! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. We stayed home this year and I was very happy to have a small gathering. It was very relaxing.

Santa brought me a Cricut Joy this year. I have the bigger Cricut Maker but I have been wanting to get the Joy to bring with me to crops. It will be much easier to bring with me.

This is our last Cut It Up challenge for 2021! It's hard to believe how fast this year has flown by. Our challenge for this week is to make a Birthday Card. We all need birthday cards and it's always good to have them in our stash.  Here is the card I made:

Oval dies: My Creative Time
Happy Birthday Die: Amazon
Gnome Die: Amazon
Paper: Recollections and DCWV
Star Sequins: Michaels

Our sponsor this week is our own awesome Cut It Up leader, Evelyn! She has generously donated a cute stamp and die set by Pink and Main.

I hope you will join our challenge. Remember to use a die cut on your project. Go ahead and stop by and check out all the other amazing design team posts at Cut It Up.

I wish you all a very happy, healthy new year!!

Cut It Up Challenge #237 - Trick or Treat (make a Halloween project)

Hello crafters and happy Friday! I had a very challenging week.  My computer decided to die on me and I had not backed up my files in a long time (over a year). I called one of the guys I used to work with from the IT dept. and asked him if he fixed computers on the side. Lucky for me, he did. We spent a couple hours on the phone and he was able to get my files to a point I could copy them on a USB stick. The next day he picked up my computer and wiped the whole thing and reloaded everything and it now works again! Lesson learned. I now have a reminder on my phone to back up my files once a month!

Our challenge this week at Cut It Up is Trick or Treat (make a Halloween project). Our sponsor for this project gave us some digital files (Creepy Cute Art) to use for this challenge.  Here's the card I made:

Dies: Creepy Cute Art from Oddball Art Co.
I printed them and cut them out on my Brother Scan N Cut
Paper: Simple Stories
Markers for coloring: Spectrum Noir Tri Blend markers

Our awesome sponsor this week is Oddball Art

Prize: $10 coupon code issued to the winner to be used in our Digi ShopWebsite: www.oddballartco.com

Cut It Up Challenge #236 - Pink

Hello everyone and happy Friday! I hope you are all having a good week. We were told last week that we will finally be going back to the office to work on November 1st.  This is the third date we have gotten but it looks like this one will be the one.  They have also told us that we can have some flexibility to work a couple days at home if we want to. I've already been going in to the office 2-3 days/week for the past couple of months. I'm looking forward to seeing my co-workers again.

This week our Cut It Up challenge is to make a project that uses Pink. I have a very dear friend who moved from San Diego to Indiana last week. I will really miss her. We met at a crop 21 years ago and have been friends from that day on. I made this card to send to her:

Flower and tag dies: My Creative Time
Paper: I used scraps for everything but the card base
Sentiment: My Sentiments Exactly! - Hand Written
Sequins: Close to my Heart
Wink of Stella used on flower centers

Our awesome sponsor this week is:

Prize: $20 prize code

Cut It Up Challenge #235 - Back to School - Follow a Tutorial (of your choice w/link)

Hello Crafters! I hope you are all having a good week. I know this week is the beginning of Fall but here in San Diego we are having another heat wave! It was 94 and 95 degrees during the week. It's supposed to cool back down for the weekend and I'm hoping that is true. I'm over the heat now.

Ok, on to our Cut It Up Challenge this week, which is Back to School (follow a tutorial of your choice with a link). This was a fun challenge for me because I love to watch tutorials and I learn so much from other crafters. Here is the project I made. It's called a Hinged Fold Card. It's super easy to make and I found it on this link to Create with Cheryl. She gives you the exact measurements and how to make the card (thank you Cheryl!).

The wedding was beautiful, the bride was gorgeous and everything went perfectly. We stayed for the week and we got to visit with some very dear friends.
