Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge - Pumpkin Season

Hello and Happy Halloween!  Our weather finally cooled down and now it feels like fall again.

I took a trip last Thursday to Baltimore to help my friend who recently had foot surgery.  She could not drive or do much so I decided to take a trip to see her and help her out with some cooking, cleaning and driving her to her doctor appts.  It was so great to see her and we always laugh a lot when we are together.  We have known each other since 4th grade -- and that is a very long time!  We had a blast and the cooler weather was a welcome relief for me.

Now on to this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge, which is Pumpkin Season.  I made this little treat holder for my husband for Halloween.  I filled the bag with little Cadbury chocolate harvest mix (yes, of course I sampled some while I was filling the bag!)

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge - Halloween Inspired

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  It's still super hot in San Diego and we are all tired of it!  Today at my house it is 105 degrees.  That is just horrible.  Luckily for me, I'm at work in air conditioning.

On to this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge, which is Halloween Inspired.  I love anything Halloween.  I made these treat cups for my co-workers.

Die Cuttin's Divas Challenge - Count Your Buttons

Hello and happy Tuesday to all of you.   Wow, I thought summer was over in San Diego but that certainly is not the case. On Sunday, it was 101 degrees again.  Too hot for Fall! We are supposed to have a couple more days like this then it will drop down to our regular Fall temps again. With all the fires happening in CA right now, we always worry when it gets this hot in October.

It's time for another Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge. This week the challenge is Count Your Buttons. I love buttons and I have since I was a kid.  My mom used to have this huge tin filled with all kinds of buttons and she would let us play with them. We would dump them out on the floor and go through all of them.  My sister and I used to pick out our favorites.  Such fun memories.

Here is the card I made.  I decided to make a shaker card and I used some tiny little orange buttons I have had for a long time and added some stars inside my shaker.

Paper: Recollections and Doodle Bug Designs
Glitter background paper: DCWV
Ghost Die: Queen and Co.
Boo Die: My Creative Time

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge - RAK (Random Act of Kindness)

Hello everyone!  Welcome to this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge, which is to make a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) project.

We have an events dept. at work and those girls work so hard setting up for meetings.  They bring all the food and drinks to our conference rooms, set it all up and then come back to clean up and take it all away.  They are always very friendly and accommodating.  I decided to make them some treat boxes (filled with sweet goodies) and surprise them this week when they come to set up a meeting for me.  I think they tend to hear many complaints from folks but don't always get told what a great job they are doing.  I figured these would put a smile on their faces!

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I hope you all had a good weekend.  Mine was lots of fun.  I went to dinner at one of my co-workers homes (she had 8 of the girls from work over because her husband and son are traveling in Europe right now).  We had the best time. There was good food and great conversations.  It was so nice to get together outside of work.

On to our challenge this week, which is a sketch challenge based on this sketch:
Here is the card I made.  I have a friend who is a pumpkin spice fanatic so I'm going to send this card to her with a Starbucks gift card so she can get a pumpkin spice latte!  I personally don't care for them but when the peppermint mocha coffees come out closer to Christmas, I'll definitely get one of those!
